Levada, archbishop emeritus, Archdiocese of San Francisco and retired prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, 7 p.m., St. Rita Church, Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Miranda Drive, Fairfax. Ordained to the priesthood in Rome’s St. Peter’s Basilica in 1961 and ordained bishop in 1983, Cardinal Levada has held leadership positions at all levels of church life and on major works including the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
