Description of Finding God in All Things

An Evening With Dr. Patrick O'Halloran: Finding God in All Things

Angelica's Bistro - 863 Main Street, Redwood City www.angelicasbistro.com
Thursday, January 15 @ 7pm
Presenter: r. Patrick O'Halloran

Recertification Categories: Morality and Elective

Where was God at the Holocaust, on 9/11, when a hit-run occurs, as the economy turns downward? Our faith in God's loving presence grows when we hold the healthy new-born, we find contentment in a long-standing marriage, or we experience success. Finding God in all things, a key idea in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, challenges us to grow in intimacy with God in sickness, health, good and hard times, in all things.
We will draw on our history, experience, and faith to achieve a practical regard for God's presence and love in our everyday living. Rather than speculate on the mystery of evil we will seek to discern God in the commonplace, the routine.

About the presenter:
Dr. Patrick O'Halloran officiates at funerals and volunteers as a Chaplain at Mills-Peninsula Hospital. He is a former instructor for recovering addicts and felons and he taught as an Adjunct Professor of Social Ethics and Public Speaking at the University of San Francisco. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and former Jesuit Priest.

In vino veritas!!
